Alice in Wonderland

Alice: If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary-wise; what it is it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

...Alice in Wonderland has been providing me with inspiration since I was five, if everyone were to sit down and re-watch the movie or re-read the book I honestly think the world would be a better place. "In my world the books would be nothing but pictures" is another one of my favorite quotes from Alice in Wonderland, I honestly believe the film and books provide an stronger message - its about not taking life to seriously, following your curiosity and passions and learning that even though you may feel lost at some times you can always find your way back and maybe just maybe sometimes when you feel lost your really not lost at all. Life is about following the journey, creating your own destiny and ENJOYING it along the way. So many speakers who have come into my entrepreneurship class have exemplified just this, they have been the courageous ones who have not let life get them down but yet have cherished their struggles and note that they would not be who they are today without them. Life is all about perspective, "to each his own" - the world wouldn't be the world is it today without the key fundamental being diversity- everything that is nonsense to you may be the world to someone else. that is perspective, that is diversity, and that is why our world, our nation, is as successful as it is today.

  1. I find that the ultimate conversation about "diversity" is more about allowing thoughts other than your own to be in the universe....
